FOOD THERAPY WITH BUNORO
HOW TO PREPARE HOMEMADE POTATO WEDGES.
Potato wedges are more or less the same as fries or chips depending on what you would want to call them. I had some potatoes in the house and i thought i could make something interesting with them that my family and I would enjoy.. You too can make it at the comfort of your house.
This recipes serves 5-10 people
Ingredients
13 potatoes
1 1/2 tablespoons of salt
1 bunch of dhania
2 tablespoons of oregano (optional)
2 1/2 tablespoons of paprika (optional but it gives the potatoes good flavor)
Steps
1. Peel the potatoes and wash them.
2. Cut the potatoes into two halves.. then the two halves then each half cut them into three portions.
3. Put in the salt and mix thoroughly.
4. Add some water not a lot.
5. Under low heat, boil the potatoes for 5 mins to soften them.
6. You can choose either to shallow fry them or bake them in the oven...I opted to bake them.
7. Pre-heat the oven at 180c for 10 mins
8. Drain the water out from the wedges.
9. Chop the dhania.
10. Add the oregano, paprika and dhania and mix.
11. Using the baking tins cover with aluminium and apply some oil.
12. Arrange the wedges in one direction to avoid confusion when flipping.
13. Bake them for 20 mins
14. Flip the potatoes and bake them for another 20 mins.
15. Serve hot with your preferred accompaniment.
